Zeinab Karimian, a former journalist of Iran’s state-run “Mehr” news agency, and Saleh Deldam, a cinema director and producer, have been arrested.

Pressure on journalists, civil rights activists, women’s rights activists and political activists across Iran has increased over the past few months.

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry officials have repeatedly confiscated computers, mobile phones and books in raids on journalists’ houses.
