Iran: Baha’i arrested on grounds of religion

Ms. Haleh Gholami, a child rights activist and a member of Iran’s Baha’i community,  was arrested by Tehran security forces on Friday, January 27th, for founding a children charity.

Authorities violently raided and inspected her house, confiscating mobile phones and tablets, according to relatives.

In addition to religious persecution, Iran’s security forces have frequently intimidated and harassed Baha’is throughout the years.
