Iran: Four online activists sentenced to prison

The first branch of the “Revolutionary Court” of Saqqez, northwestern Iran, has sentenced four online activists to prison for launching dissident groups against the “Islamic republic” on the internet.

Naser Rahimi, Himan Hosseini and Kamel Sharifzadeh were sentenced to six months behind bars, and Gharib Sharizadeh was sentenced to a year in prison.

It is worth noting that prior to this Kamel and Gharib Sharifzadeh, were arrested for “cooperating with Kurdish opposition parties,”, and were released after serving 18 months in prison.

Some images from their social media channels and group activities were attached as evidence to their cases.
