Mostafa Azadi, an athlete inmate in Zahedan Central Prison, southeast Iran, was hanged in Wednesday.
He was a 32-year-old wrestler, had been detained for the past ten years.
Following the transfer of this inmate to solitary confinement, his family went to Tehran, to prevent his execution in any way possible. However, Mullahs’ judiciary chief Sadegh Larijani deceptively wasted the time, caused the family to lose even the opportunity of a final meeting, and apparently the execution was carried out at the scheduled time, according to reports.
