Iran executes three on drug related charges

Three inmates in Urmia Central Prison, northwest of Iran, were hanged on Saturday on drug-related charges.

The names of two of these victims were announced as Naji Payam and Eshgh Ali.

The three were transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday in preparation for their executions.

The families of the executed received a call from prison authorities instructing them to Abyari Square in Urmia to receive the body of their loved ones.

It is worth noting that another inmate was also hanged in Shahrood Prison, northern Iran.
