A man and a woman were put to death for “spreading corruption on earth through their activities in a newly launched sect,” according to Tehran’s public prosecutor Jafari Dolatabadi.
Dolatabadi claims that the defendants were active in the cultural field through launching a sect and attracting members. They were put to death for “spreading corruption on earth” and have appealed the ruling at supreme court, according to the state-run ISNA news website.
