A Baluchi man who had been severely injured last week by security forces, passed away yesterday, May 12 in Zahedan’s Khatam-ol Anbia Hospital.
He was severely wounded when security forces punctured and overturned his car on May 6, and subsequently transferred to Khatam-ol Anbia Hospital’s ICU in Zahedan.
Noting that Mr. Shahouzehi had only a few bolts of fabric in his car, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan criticized the security forces’ arbitrary conduct and said, “The State Security Force must not jeopardize the lives of people for just a few bolts of fabric or other items.”
The SSF’s conduct has led to the deaths and wounding of dozens of citizens in this province.
Zahedan is the capital of Sistan-o Baluchistan Province in southeastern Iran.
