Iran: Security forces attacked Kurdish women
The State Security forces in the village of Agh-dareh in the town of Takab attacked a peaceful rally of people on Thursday, June 15, 2017, and wounded a few women.
A number of the participants were arrested and transferred to an unknown location.
Women protested unemployment and excluding them from the staff working at the village’s gold mine.
The gold mine of Agh- dareh is one of the largest gold mines of Iran, but more than ninety percent of its employees and workers are not indigenous.
Women wanted to be recruited as workers in the mine.
