Iran: 169,000 children denied education in Sistan and Baluchistan

The General Director of Education in Sistan and Baluchistan announced on Friday June 16, that there were 169,000 identified children who do not have access to education.
According to reports from Majlis’s Research Center, there are 3,200,000 children deprived of education in Iran. Girls make up the largest group in this number.
In addition to Sistan and Baluchistan, there are at least 100,000 children who do not have access to education in Khuzestan and 15,000 children denied education in Hormozgan, according to the state-run ILNA news agency, June 16, 2017.
