Iran: Ten more executions in a brazen violation of humanitarian international law

Three inmates were hanged on July 15, on drug related charges in Zahedan Central Prison, in southeastern Province of Sistan-o Baluchistan. The victims were identified as 50-year-old Mohammad Baluchzehi, 21-year-old Kabir Dehghanzahi and Dad Mohammad Dehghanzahi.
Pakistani nationals Dad Mohammad and Kabir Dehghanzahi, were arrested eight years ago in Iran. Kabir was only 13 years old at the time.
Mohammad Baluchzehi had been imprisoned 13 years on death row in this prison. The three had been transferred to solitary confinement on July 13 in preparation for their executions.
Another inmate identified as Sharif Rigi was hanged on July 9 in this prison. He was found guilty of murder.
On the same day three prisoners were hanged on drug charges in Central Prison of Khorramabad, capital of Lorestan Province.
Only one of the victims was identified as Najmodin Safipour. He was arrested four years ago with his friend in a car. It is said that the drug found in the car was not belong to him and the main suspect was executed last year.
There is no information about the identities of the other two and the authorities have not been available for comments.
Another inmate identified as Yousef Rigi, 28, was hanged for drug charges in Zabol Prison. He had been held on death row in ward 1 since five years ago.
