Iran: More than 22,000 people got harassed by moral police in northern town

The Commander of the Tonekabon Police said that more than 22,000 people received verbal notices from Tonekabon (northern Iran) police this year regarding their veil, the state-run Balagh news agency reported on October 7, 2017.
“This year, 410 vehicles in which passengers had taken off their veil, were seized by the police”, Ramin Shams added.
“We also discovered 2,779 satellite dishes and equipment, and liquor, 29% of which were domestic and 98% foreign liquor”, the Tonekabon Police Chief added.
