0

On December 4, a prisoner in the Ardabil  Central Prison identified as Moslem Shiri, was transferred to the quarantine section, and was tortured. The detainee has been charged with killing a relative of Farhad Norouzi, the Interior Director of the Ardabil Central Prison. Every once in a while, Farhad Norouzi takes this prisoner to quarantine outside the prison to torture him as a way of getting revenge. Yesterday, he put a gun to his head and threatened to take the prisoner’s life. Moslem Shiri has gone on a hunger strike in protest to the abuse. The 36-year-old prisoner has been locked away since 2009. He is suffering from mental imbalance as a result of the severity of the torture.
