Hamidreza Amini, a detained Telegram channel administrator who was charged with publishing lies, blasphemy and insulting the Islamic Republic’s authorities, went on a dry hungers strike for five days in protest to his transfer from Evin Prison to Fashafoyeh Prison. Despite him ending his hunger strike upon promises from prison authorities, he is now suffering from the adverse effects of the hunger strike. In a call to his family, he said that his health was deteriorating but prison officials refused to transfer him to the hospital. His wife, Sudabeh Namdar Zanganeh said that he was urinating blood but was not allowed to go to the hospital.
