Mohsen Rezaie, Rajaie Shahr Prison, who has been sentenced to death, went on a hunger strike since July 17 in protest to the court ruling and requested a retrial. The prisoner, who says he has been severely tortured, says that his sentence was not fair. During the tortures, the nails on his feet were pulled out and his ribs were broken.
“After the first trial, I had a heart attack. One year later, I had another heart attack. I lost my eyesight for three months and could not move and then my liver, stomach and intestine problems started. On July 20, I had another heart attack”, Mr. Rezaie said.
