On the morning of Saturday, December 7, 2024, a prisoner identified as Ashkan Fathi, aged 21, was executed in Isfahan Central Prison. Fathi had been arrested two years ago on charges of murder and subsequently sentenced to death.

Execution in Zanjan

At dawn on the same day, Saturday, December 7, 2024, a female prisoner named Ameneh Alipour, aged 37, was executed in Zanjan Prison. She had been detained for three years on charges of murder and was sentenced to death following her conviction.

Executions in Tabriz

On the morning of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, three male prisoners were executed in Tabriz Prison. The identities and case details of the individuals are as follows:

  • Khalil Hassanzadeh, aged 33, had been arrested four years ago on charges of murder and was sentenced to death.
  • Abdollah Panahi, aged 62, was a farmer prior to his arrest. He had been in detention for six years on murder charges and was subsequently sentenced to death.
  • Rasoul Ebrahimi, from the city of Abhar, had been detained for three years on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death.

The executions were carried out amid ongoing concerns about the use of the death penalty in Iran, particularly in cases involving alleged murder and drug-related offenses.
