After 28 Days of Disappearance

The body of Issa Nazari, a 15-year-old Baloch teenager, was discovered on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in the border area of “Doroudan,” located in Fahreh village, Golshan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province. He had been arrested on March 13, 2025, during a shooting by officers from the Fahreh border post targeting fuel carriers.

At the time of his arrest, Issa was crossing the border area with several mules and donkeys carrying fuel when the forces opened fire. Four of the animals were killed, but Issa was reportedly arrested alive. Witnesses stated that his personal belongings, including a flashlight and a wooden stick, were left behind at the scene.

Issa’s family confirmed that border officers initially acknowledged his arrest in the first two days. However, from the third day onward, they ceased providing information and began denying any knowledge of his detention.

The discovery of Issa’s body followed a phone call from an anonymous individual. Guided by the caller, his family was led to a mine-contaminated restricted area, where they found his severely decomposed body, showing signs of a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

The forensic office in Saravan conducted an initial examination of the body before transferring it to the forensic office in Zahedan for further investigation. The preliminary medical report confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot to the back of the head.

According to Issa Nazari’s relatives, he was in good health at the time of his arrest, and they believe that military forces executed him after transferring him to an undisclosed location.
