Execution in Arak Central Prison
At dawn on Sunday, April 6, 2025, a prisoner named Sajjad Farahani was executed in Arak Central Prison. He had previously been arrested on charges of murder and was sentenced to death.
Execution in Gonbad-e Kavus Prison
In the early hours of Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Behrouz Shirmohammadi (Paripour) was executed in Gonbad-e Kavus Prison. Shirmohammadi, a 27-year-old ethnic Turkmen and resident of Gonbad-e Kavus, had been arrested in 2021 (1400 in the Iranian calendar) for alleged involvement in a fatal street altercation and was subsequently sentenced to death.
Execution in Borazjan Prison
Also at dawn on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Iman Salimi, a 28-year-old resident of Borazjan, was executed in Borazjan Prison. He had been arrested on murder charges and sentenced to death.
Execution in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz
On the same morning, April 9, 2025, Alireza Seyfi, a 28-year-old from the city of Kazeroon, was executed in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. He had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death.
