Iran’s Killing Machine Continues: 6 Executed in Latest Crackdown

April 15, 2025
FacebookTwitterEmail

In the latest wave of executions in Iran, at least six prisoners have been executed in the prisons of Qazvin, Kermanshah, and Zahedan. Some of these executions were carried out secretly without informing the families and were not reported by official media outlets.

Executions in Zahedan Prison; Baloch Victims

On the mornings of Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, 2025, seven prisoners were executed in Zahedan Central Prison. Four of them, all members of the Baloch minority, were:

  • Ramin (Rahmatollah) Alizahi, 38 years old, married with four children
  • Davood Bajizahi (Shahouzahi), married with six children
  • Bashir Ahmad Rigi (Mohammadani), 38 years old, married with four children
  • Majid Lejei, 36 years old

All of these individuals were reportedly charged with drug-related offenses. Some of the executions were carried out without prior notification to the families and without a final visit, which constitutes a clear violation of international human rights standards.

Also on Sunday, April 13, three other prisoners were executed in the same prison:

  • Allah-Nazar Gorgij, 40 years old, from Zahak, father of six, charged with murder
  • Abdolsalam Baloch Meshkenti (Ahourani), 28 years old, from Chabahar, charged with murder
  • The identity of the third executed prisoner remains unknown.

Execution of Two Afghan Nationals in Qazvin

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Rabee Shahmorad, 27 years old, and Wasim Ahmad, 40 years old—both from Kunduz Province, Afghanistan—were executed in Qazvin Prison. They had been arrested three years ago in a joint case on drug-related charges.

Secret Execution in Kermanshah

In another case that has not yet been covered by the media, Pezhman Bahramian, a 40-year-old man from Kermanshah, was executed in Kermanshah Prison on the morning of Sunday, February 16, 2025. He had been arrested five years ago on a murder charge. His execution was also carried out without any official announcement.
