107th Week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign in 56 Prisons Across Iran

February 10, 2026
FacebookTwitterEmail

Political prisoners in 56 prisons across the country, in the 107th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, coinciding with a severe wave of repression and a worrying increase in execution statistics, have once again gone on hunger strike. According to published reports, the government has executed over 207 people in the last three weeks and has intensified the atmosphere of suffocation by carrying out widespread arrests of protesters and even medical staff. Members of this campaign, while warning about the danger of the execution of prisoners such as Naser Bakrzadeh, have announced that the only way to save lives is to break the silence and shout protests against oppression and injustice.

Please observe the full text of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign statement below:

Continuation of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign in 56 Different Prisons in the 107th Week

According to news and information obtained during the glorious January [Dey] uprising, the repressive agents of the Velayat-e Faqih government, in addition to the thousands of innocent human beings they massacred, have arrested tens of thousands of Iranian people and youths and subjected a large number of them to physical and psychological pressures to extract forced confessions.

According to these same reports, in line with increasing the atmosphere of repression and public intimidation, the executioner government has proceeded to arrest a number of lawyers, physicians, and medical staff, which indicates its increasing terror of the people’s courageous uprising last January.

The ruling despotic government has executed more than 207 individuals, including 2 women, in the first 3 weeks of the month of Bahman (starting January 21) alone; and in addition to hundreds and thousands of detained prisoners who are anonymously at risk of the medieval sentence of execution; in the past few days, Kurdish political prisoner Naser Bakrzadeh has been sentenced to death for the third time and is in serious danger of the execution of the sentence.

Naser Bakrzadeh

Here, we ask the brave and courageous people of Iran to be the voice of the detainees and political prisoners, and we ask the families of the detainees to raise their cry of protest against oppression, injustice, and widespread and extrajudicial arrests, and to support their loved ones.

Yes! Compatriots, in these conditions, silence is not an option; the only option and path to salvation is outcry and protest. In these sensitive conditions, we wish for the realization of a free and equal Iran, far from violence and execution, and the [realization of the] “right to self-determination” by the people.
