Two prisoners, accused of drug-related charges, have been transferred to solitary confinement in Arak Prison, western Iran, in preparation for their executions.
The victims were identified as Seifallah Chezani and Alireza Jalayri.
Death sentences have been rising in Iran according to the number of this week’s executions. Six inmates are sentenced to death in Arak and Gheselhesar Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran.
