Molavi Abdalvahed Shahnavazi, a 50 year-old Sunni Baluch man, was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison on charges of “measures threatening national security.”
Shahnavazi was deported by Pakistan two years ago at the request of Iran’s authorities after spending 7 months in Pakistani prisons.
He has since been held in limbo.
