Mostafa Abadi, an inmate from Lorestan, west of Iran, was hanged on drug related charges, in Zahedan Central Prison, southeast of Iran.
He had been detained for the past nine years.
Two other prisoners were also transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their death, however their executions have been delayed.
One of these inmates is identified as Davoud Behzad, was found guilty of murder and has been detained for the past five years. The date of his execution has been three times delayed and authorities placed him under enormous mental pressure in such conditions.
