Iran arrests civil and women’s rights activist

Farzaneh Jalali, civil and women’s rights activist, was arrested without any official due process.
Following a phone call from Department of Registration of Documents, demanding her some documents, she referred to this office. However, she was subsequently arrested, and Iranian security agents inspected her house. No information available on her whereabouts.
Jalali was expelled from Tehran University because of her political activities, including women’s rights activities focused on Kurd women.
