The commander of west Tehran police announced the arrest of several women in a raid on a female’s party.
“It was a particular women’s party in a hall in west of Tehran that was advertised on the Internet,” according to the state-run Fanous website.
Iran has been carrying out a major crackdown on such parties this year. Within the last month alone there have been three instances of raids at similar events, including mix gender parties in Ahvaz, Shiraz and Anzali
