Iran: Mother and son arrested for religious beliefs

A Christian mother and son have been jailed for two weeks because of their beliefs.

Anooshe Rezabakhsh and her son, Soheil Zargarzadeh, a fourth-year psychology students, were arrested two weeks ago in Urmia, northwest of Iran, due to their religious beliefs.

“Plainclothes Revolutionary Guards intelligent agents raided and inspected Soheil Zargarzadeh’s house, confiscating his textbooks and religious writings,” according to witnesses.

It is worth noting that Nana Badrian and Andre Vartanian, a Tajik couple, were arrested this month for “owning a church in Tehran,” according to a source.
