Iranian authorities in Yazd Province, central Iran, publicly hanged an inmate on Thursday who was convicted of armed robbery in September 2015.
“This case was very sensitive. The perpetrators were identified and quickly arrested through the efforts of the judiciary, security and police authorities. The execution of this convict and all other judiciary processes were especially carried out in swift nature,” said Yazd judiciary chief Mohammd Reza Habibi.
