Two prisoners were hanged in Adelabad Prison of Shiraz Province, southern Iran.
The two, identified as Sirous Abedi, 36, and Farajbakhsh Amrollahi, both from Kerman, central Iran, were sentenced to death on drug related charges.
They were arrested five years ago and sentenced to death for allegedly trafficking 3 kg of the narcotics, including crystal meth and a small amount of opium, according to a source close to the defendants.
These death row prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on March 17.
