An inmate is scheduled to be executed publicly tomorrow in Arak, according to the city’s public prosecutor.
He was found guilty of murder and sentenced to six counts of retribution in public, eight years behind bars and 74 lashes. His brother is also sentenced to 55 years behind bars, two years of which to be spent in internal exile.
“The retribution punishments were upheld by the branch 19 of the Supreme Court…This case has been investigated in swift nature while the defendants committed the alleged crime mere four months ago,” the public prosecutor admitted, according to the state-run Rokna news agency.
The execution will be carried out publicly in the early morning hours of Thursday at the crime scene and before the convict’s family.
