Prisoner denied medical leave went on hunger strike

Rasul Heradani has staged a hunger strike since May 29, protesting prison authorities denying him medical furlough.
He announced if the authorities continue to deny him medical leave, he would go on a dry hunger strike in 20 days.
Heradani suffers a heart failure and recently suffered a nervous shock, however, he has been denied special medical care outside the prison.
incarcerated for 17 years Rasul Heradani, was arrested and sentenced to death in 2000 while under the age of 18. The ruling was commuted to a life sentence in the Revision Court.
