Iran: Ailing political prisoner returned to prison despite further need of medical care

Political prisoner Ismail Abdi who had been hospitalized due to a number of illnesses caused by his ongoing hunger strike, was returned to Tehran’s Evin Prison after three days despite further need of medical care, according to recently released reports.
He went on a hunger strike protesting the subordination of the Judiciary in issuing security related sentences for teachers and workers.
