Iran: Border agents illegally opened fire, injured a porter

Border agents illegally opened fire at a group of porters on June 10, leaving one injured.
Gunshot victim Ali Mohammadi was passing with a number of porters across the “Nosoud” border area, in Kermanshah, Iran’s most westerly province.
They were shot while they were inside Iran and were not carrying any loads with them.
In yet another case, a 38-year-old man was wounded in late May, by military forces throwing stones at a group of porters.
Porters have been frequently attacked by Iran’s armed forces since the beginning of Iranian calendar year. In some cases, their property had been confiscated or was set on fire.
