Iran: The 7th members of political prisoner’s family arrested

Keyvan Hossein Panahi was arrested today, July 15, and transferred to an unknown location. No warrant or explanation was provided by security forces who made the arrest when Keyvan attempted to visit the parents of Ramin Hossein Panahi, who had been recently shot, injured and arrested by security forces.
Seven members of the Hossein Panahi family have been arrested in less than one month since armed clashes broke out between four members of the opposition group, Komala and the Revolutionary Guards in the city of Sanandaj, capital of Kurdistan Province, western Iran.
The Intelligence Department has reportedly made these arrests to put pressure on the Hossein Panahi family.
