Iran: Cyber Police arrests man for blasphemy

The head of the Western Tehran Cyber Police announced on July 22, 2017, the identification and arrest of a person of charge of “blasphemy” and creating doubts with the intention of disrupting online public opinion, according to the state-run Mehr news agency.
“Cyber Police experts identified the suspect in the town of Robat Karim and after getting judicial approvals, arrested him in a police operation”, Haj Ali Salehi said.
“The suspect said that he was a student and only carried out these measures out of curiosity and entertainment”, he added.
