Iran: Jailed student tortured into making televised confession

Jailed student Abubakr Rostami was severely tortured by agents of the Revolutionary Guards Corps Intelligence Department to make televised confessions. Rostami has been detained in the Central Zahedan Prison for close to two years. He wrote a letter detailing his fate in prison.
“I am 23 years old… We were taken from the RGC Intelligence Detention to another section where visits were banned. I was in this section for 20 days. I was under the most severe mental and physical torture by Intelligence Agents for 42 days until I was forced to make confessions. Agents filmed me while I was making confessions. I have since been kept in a state of limbo in the Central Zahedan Prison.”
