Iran: DJ’s arrested in Mashhad

After intelligence surveillance by Intelligence Agents in Khorasan Razavi, there have been reports that a woman and man were DJ’ing in high profile ceremonies in Mashhad. After further investigation it became clear that in addition to DJ’ing, these two also performed live music, sang and also taught dancing in mixed parties and weddings. The two also were very active on social media and had more than 60,000 followers on Instagram and Telegram. A criminal case was filed for them and Judge Bahari issued an arrest warrant for both of them, according to the state-run ROKNA news agency, August, 16, 2017.
