Iran: Innocent women sentenced to 18 years of prison

A Kurd woman, who is currently held in Sanandaj Central Prison, was sentenced to 18 years of prison for her alleged complicity in murder. She has been identified as Farangiz Zareie.
Her husband was executed 3 years ago, and Frangiz, who has an elderly mother at home, has been in prison for the past five years. According to one of her inmates, she has repeatedly stated that she had no knowledge of the murder and did not participate in it in any way. Nevertheless, her interrogators refuse to release her.
