Iran: Two prisoners hanged in Yasouj and Ardebil prisons

A 27-year-old man identified only as M was hanged on September 26, 2017, in Yasouj Central Prison, according to the state-run Rokna news agency. The victim was found guilty of murder.
“After the execution was carried out, a number of the members of the tribe of the convict intended to create disorder which was thwarted with the measures and timely presence of security forces”, the head of the Yasouj SSF said.
Another prisoner was hanged on the morning of September 20, 2017, on drug related charges in Central Prison of Ardebil. He was identified as Tofigh Yousefi. The execution has not been announced by state-run media.
