Iran: Mental disorder on rise among Tehrani women

The head of the Welfare Organization said that mental disorders among Tehrani women are more frequent than in men, according to the state-run Baazar News on October 16, 2017.
“Poverty, gender, age and education are among the factors that contribute to these disorders,” Anooshirovan Mohseni Bandpay said. “According to a research, 37.9 percent of women and 27.6 percent of men in Tehran are prone to mental disorders,” he added.
