Roheih Nariman and Farzad Delaram, a Baha’i couple residing in Shiraz, were each sentenced to five years of prison on charges of “spreading propaganda against the government” and “membership in the illegal Baha’i group” by the 1st Branch of the Shiraz Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge Sadati. The couple are parents to a young child and a teenager.
Agents of the Revolutionary Guards Corps Intelligence Agency detained Nariman and Delaram on October 2, 2016. They were released on a 99,000 dollar bail after 10 days of prison.
