Air Pollution in Khozastan Province Leads to Vast Immigration

Javad Kazem Nasab, MP from city of Ahwaz said that many of the residents have immigrated to the cities of Karaj and Mashad because of dust problem: “Areas of dust have covered Khozestan Province since 13 years ago, from which seven areas, 345 hectares are internal. Unfortunately due to wrong policies in the areas of power and agriculture, these land have not received water and have turned to dust-land.”

Citing that the number of cancer and respiratory disease cases have grown in the area, he mentioned: “The elites, teachers and those who could contribute to the growth of this province had to leave the province because of the dust.” (ILNA state-run News Agency – Apr.29, 2018)
