Agents of the clerical regime’s Intelligence Ministry destroyed the tomb of Navid Afkari, the wrestling champion who was hastily executed on September 12, 2020.

A few hours after the arrest of father and brother of Navid Afkari by his grave, Elham Afkari, his sister, announced that the tomb of his brother had been destroyed.

On Thursday, December 17, the father and brother of wrestling champion Navid Afkari, were arrested as they had gone to clean up the grave and prepare it for installing a tombstone.

A few hours later, Elham Afkari, Navid’s sister, posted a photo on her Instagram account, announcing that the tomb of his brother had been destroyed.

She wrote: “Intimidate, destroy, arrest! What will you do with the memory of Navid in everyone’s heart?”

The Afkari family are being pressured by the intelligence services to refrain from installing a tombstone on the grave of their son.

Elham Afkari also wrote on her Instagram post: “This is not a battlefield. This is the grave of our Navid. They attacked and destroyed it.”
