On Wednesday August 9, prison officials at the Urmia Prison asked political prisoners to give their family’s phone numbers to the officials. They threatened prisoners that if they did not follow these orders, they would not be able to call their families. Therefore, prisoners have not been able to make any calls as of August 9.
