A few weeks after the arrest of six managers of the Tiny Movies website, which is the most popular website for Iranian and foreign movies, Tehran Prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi, cited this case in an October 10 news conference.
“The main suspect is a 25-year-old resident of Neishapour who made more than 29.272 dollars per month. He was summoned and his statements were heard. The defendant stated that at the beginning of his work, when he had 4 to 5 thousand users, he oversaw the content of his website to a certain extent but did not exercise such control after his users increased; he also admitted that by renting virtual servers in western countries, including Canada, and employing voice over artists, he downloaded over 18,000 Hollywood movies with vulgar content which he made available to his users”.
