Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee, writer and human rights activist, was arrested on Sunday by the so-called “Sarallah” army forces, despite pledges otherwise provided by a public prosecutor.
It appears she has been taken to Tehran’s Evin Prison to begin serving her six-year sentence.
Iraee’s husband, Arash Sadeghi, also a human rights activist and prisoner of conscience, had been on a 71-day-hunger strike protesting her imprisonment.
