Khamenei’s representative in Mashhad said on June 26 that internet freedom is like giving up “our youth to the carelessness of the West.”
“The people and officials who are indifferent to countering improper veiling in the society are actually indifferent in countering insulting against God’s prophet,” he said.
“One should not only expect the State Security Forces to deal with the issue of improper veiling. all the people, clerics and officials are responsible in countering improper veiling,” he added, according to the state-run Aftab News website, June 26, 2017.
