An 18-year-old architect student, who was accused of adultery after having a relationship with a young girl he met on Instagram, was tried in the 5th Branch of the Tehran Penal Court on September 4 and was sentenced to flogging and exile, according to the state-run Iran Daily report on September 5, 2017.
At the end of the trial, the judges condemned the young man to 100 lashes and two years of exile on charges of adultery.
