The case of a prominent national women’s futsal team player is still open and might lead to a death sentence, according to the state-run Football Website report on September 18, 2017
On May 13, 2017, the futsal player collided with a police officer in the Narmak neighborhood on her way home and killed him. The player is currently free on bail, but the victim’s father wants a retribution sentence for her.
“I have asked the Judge for the death penalty… The girl was not in a normal state and I want her to be taken to the gallows”, the father of the police officer said.
