The Prosecutor of Tehran announced in a statement to the guarantor of labor activist Jafar Azimzadeh, that in the upcoming days, her house, which she has placed as his collateral, would be confiscated.
The Prosecutor aims to put pressure on Azimzadeh to turn himself in.
Jafar Azimzadeh, who is the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Free Trade Union of Iran, was released in 2016 after a 63-day hunger strike. In the Prosecutor’s statement dated September 26, addressed to Tahmineh Khosravi, the collateral holder for Jafar Azimzadeh it states that “since you are the guarantor of Jafar Azimzadeh, son of Hossein, and given the fact that you did not introduce the convicted person at the appointed time, the order for the collection of the bail has been issued.”
