The state-run ILNA news agency on March 7, quoted the Police Spokesperson Saied Montazer al-Mahdi as saying that 27,000 police patrols would be active during the Nowruz holidays.
“3,770 car patrols, 2,010 motorcycle patrols and 2,900 police officers on foot will be active,” he added. “The daily closure of about 200 social media channels carrying out various criminal activities shows how well the police are doing their jobs in uncovering the unclean hands that are behind the scenes,” he added.
