Executions of Multiple Prisoners, Including a Woman, in Iranian Prisons

Iranian authorities have carried out the execution of several prisoners in recent days across different prisons, including the execution of a female prisoner in Isfahan.

Executions in Sari and Isfahan

On the morning of Wednesday, March 12, 2025, a prisoner named Majid Vahidi, 26, was executed in Sari Prison. He had been arrested in 2021 on murder charges and sentenced to death. Before his arrest, Majid worked at a motorcycle repair shop.

Earlier, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, a female prisoner named Nasrin Barani, 29, was executed in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. She had been arrested four years ago on murder charges and sentenced to death.

Executions in Neyshabur, Zanjan, Yazd, and Khorramabad

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, another prisoner, Hojjat Torkaman, was executed in Neyshabur Prison. He had been arrested four years ago on murder charges and sentenced to death.

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, Amin Khosravi, 40, was executed in Neyshabur Prison. He was a father of two and had been arrested three years ago on murder charges.

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Houshang Mohammadi-Khani, 31, was executed in Yazd Prison on drug-related charges. He had been arrested two years ago. Reports indicate that his execution was carried out secretly, without prior notice to his family or a final visit.

On the same day, Obeid Maleki, 27, was executed in Khorramabad Prison. He was a resident of Dezful and had been sentenced to death for murder after his arrest four years ago. Another prisoner, Mohammad Javad (Afshin) Hassanvand, was also executed in Khorramabad on the same day.

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, Ahmad Saeedi, 30, was executed in Zanjan Prison on drug-related charges. He was a construction worker before his arrest two years ago.
